CGAP Seeking Partners to Test Innovative MSE Finance

Our colleagues at CGAP wrote this week sharing a new initiative to catalyze innovations in micro and small enterprise finance.

They’re looking to partner with up to six firms ready to test technology-enabled innovations that can extend responsible financial services to underserved micro and small enterprises (MSEs). The firms could be incumbent FIs (for example, banks or MFIs), early stage fintechs, or non-financial firms that can embed financial services in their offerings to MSEs (for example, a bookkeeping app offering loans).

CGAP is focusing on smaller firms (with less than 5 employees) whose owners and employees have low socioeconomic status, and they are particularly interested in women-owned enterprises.

Find details and instructions on the EOI announcement webpage, and note the submission deadline of March 6.
